1. Brogues
The boyish brogue is essential to team with tailored pants and androgynous styles. They are also the perfect partners to a feminine floral dress.
2. Textured Fabric
This season is all about making an impact with opulent textured fabrics. We will see everything from velvet, faux fur, sleek leathers, and brocade to classic tweed. Metallic details will also feature heavily in embroidery and trims.
3. Red
Red is set to be one of the key colours of the season. It is a vibrant and bold colour and has a way of making the wearer stand out in the crowd. You can introduce hints of red to your outfit with shoes and accessories.
4. Circle Frames
Made famous by John Lennon in the 1960’s, round framed eyewear are making a come back. You will see frames in different hues, sizes and prints. Celebrities such as Gwen Stefani and Nicole Richie are wearing this fashion forward look.
5. Gothic Chic
Channel your dark side this winter with black leather and metallic hardware. Opt for understated gothic glam with leather trims or studded accessories. Introduce a softer side with sheer fabrics and lace.
6. Point Toe Heels
Whether in a flat or a heel, it’s all about the pointy toe. It was seen in collections from designers such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel. They are the perfect addition to dress up your favourite jeans for a feminine twist.
7. Military
To get the combat look go for military inspired pieces such as pea coats, satchels, cargo detail and camouflage print in shades of army greens, khaki, camel, brown and grey.
8. Masculine
Female fashion now has a masculine edge. Create the androgynous look with blazer jackets and tailored shirts; team them with loafers or lace up flats. When choosing accessories look for oversized totes and heavy watches.
9. Floral Print
Often thought of as a summer print, floral is a great way to add colour to your winter wardrobe. Vivid prints in pants, dresses and jackets in luxurious fabrics are a must have for the winter wardrobe.
10. Ladylike
The ladylike trend is polished from head to toe. The key pieces to achieve the look are body hugging pencil skirts, hats and elbow length gloves. Designers representing the elegant trend are Gucci, Lanvin and Hermes.
