The (Shop Trading) Bill has now passed through the Upper and Lower Houses of State Parliament without substantial amendment. Subject to soon being Gazetted and assented/proclaimed by the Governor, the passing of this Bill provides three key strategic outcomes for the Rundle Mall Precinct and the City of Adelaide;
1. The City of Adelaide will be designated as a Tourist Precinct under the Shop Trading Hours Act (1977)
2. The Rundle Mall Precinct will be permitted to trade on all but 2.5 public holidays per annum on a (mostly) exclusive basis
This is a valuable outcome for the Rundle Mall community and will assist in improving the competitiveness of city retailing. As an organisation that represents the interests of all Rundle Mall stakeholders, the RMMA extends its appreciation to all retail and property stakeholders for their assistance in delivering this result.

The ever changing economic climate has brought with it many behavioural changes in the consumer arena. Consumers have more choices today than ever before and in order for today's retailers and businesses to remain competitive it is essential for them to constantly adapt. To assist with how to adapt to these behavioural changes please find the memo 'Tips and Tricks' to the right.
Over recent months, the Rundle Mall Management Authority (RMMA) has taken on board feedback from the retail community that retail team members are concerned about the cost of car parking for their own vehicles. After holding various meetings with car parking operators located within close proximity to the Rundle Mall precinct, Rundle Mall Management is pleased to inform you of the following car parking offer which is specifically directed toward assisting retail employees working on a part-time basis.
